VIP Body Conditioning Boot Camps

Boot_Camp_for_Children

Can be best described as:

“A ‘Back-to-Basics’ style fitness program designed to increase cardiovascular endurance and capacity, core strength, muscle tone and flexibility, while providing a safe, effective and enjoyable alternative to traditional gym training programs.”

Participants

Before commencing any Bootcamp program, participants must have completed the following:

  • VBody Service Agreement (Standard Form # )
  • Pre-Exercise Questionnaire (Standard Form # or # )

Participants who have indicated they have pre-existing medical conditions that require medication, or ongoing treatment, must obtain a medical clearance from their doctor before they are allowed to commence Bootcamp. Any client presenting with high blood pressure, or who has been inactive for an extended period of time, may also require clearance – this will be at the discretion of the Operations Manager.

VBody Bootcamps are conducted using a ratio of 1 instructor to every 20 participants. In the interest of participant safety, this is to allow for technique correction and effective instruction by the Trainer.

Accident / Incident Management

In the event of an incident, the following procedures must be followed:

  1. Complete an Incident Report Form (Standard Form # )
  2. Treat the person(s) involved with necessary First Aid procedures
  3. Collect statements from witnesses
  4. Complete any further actions required
  5. Contact Company Directors and inform them of the incident occurrence

Health Checks / Exercise Testing / Grading

  • Resting heart rate and blood pressure
  • Body weight
  • Body girth measurements
  • Body composition (optional)
  • Flexibility
  • Abdominal strength (optional)

These checks are conducted prior to the commencement of the program, and all applicable paperwork is completed, and payment taken, at this time.

  • 20m shuttle test (‘beep test’) or time trial over a distance of 1.2km
  • Sit up endurance test (how many in 1 minute)
  • Push up endurance test (how many in 1 minute)

These tests are both simple and efficient to conduct, and participants are able to relate to their results more easily. For instances where there are more than 20 participants, and a second instructor is utilised, it is also recommended that the participants be split into groups that mirror, wherever possible, the fitness and strength levels of the participants. This will allow the Trainer to effectively plan group sessions suited to the capacities of the participants, at the same time giving the participants peace of mind that they will not be required to do anything that is beyond their capabilities.

Bootcamp sessions may involve a variety of equipment and training tools.

These may include:

  • Boxing gear (gloves/focus pads)
  • Car / truck tyres
  • Logs
  • Bricks
  • Tyre sleds
  • Hurdles
  • Therabands
  • Speed ladders
  • Ropes
  1. Aerobic endurance
  2. Lactic threshold training
  3. Strength
  4. Strength endurance
  5. Flexibility
  6. Abdominal conditioning

Weather

Boot Camp session run rain, hail or shine. However, there are some circumstances in which sessions may be cancelled. For example, in the case of thunderstorms and lightning, or torrential rain/hail, the session would be likely cancelled. In any event, Trainers are required to turn up at the designated location without fail in case participants do arrive. If inclement weather is forecast, and the Trainer is able to contact all participants at least 12 hours before the scheduled start of the session, they may cancel it.

Every session is different and exciting. We concentrate on enhancing the areas in which you wish to achiever maximum results.
